REQUIREMENTS

Who can apply

All four conditions below are required.

01

Specified Skilled Worker (i) — Nursing Care

You need the "Specified Skilled Worker (i)" residence status in the Nursing Care field (Tokutei Ginou 1 — Kaigo), within its validity period.

Care certificate: Shoninsha Kenshu or above

Kaigo Shokuin Shoninsha Kenshu (介護職員初任者研修) or a higher care qualification is required.

Japanese: JLPT N4 or above

You can have daily conversations in Japanese (JLPT N4 or higher).

Work at one of our 4 facilities

Your workplace will be one of our 4 registered facilities in Yao City or Hirakata City, Osaka.

SALARY

Salary — same as our Japanese new graduates

Fair and equal. Foreign care workers start on the same pay as our Japanese new-graduate care staff.

Care Worker (full-time, 2 days off per week)
¥263,000〜 / month (gross)
Including 4 night shifts per month (night-shift allowance ¥5,000 × 4)
Monthly gross without night shifts¥243,000〜 (excluding qualification allowance)

Legal requirements under the Specified Skilled Worker system

  • 3SMILE is a member of the Nursing Care Specified Skilled Worker Council (介護分野における特定技能協議会). Membership of this council is mandatory for every employer of foreign care workers — please check this when you compare companies.
  • You can work only at facilities registered on the Council membership certificate. Our 4 facilities above are the registered workplaces.
  • After hiring, the company must register your information (Employment Conditions Document, Support Plan, Residence Card) with the Council within 4 months. We handle this procedure — please keep your residence card valid and up to date.
  • Your residence card must show "Specified Skilled Worker (i)" and be within its validity period. If you have the new integrated residence card (with My Number), only the front side is ever submitted.
  • Working in home-visit (houmon) services requires a separate government conformity confirmation (適合確認) before starting. Your assignment will follow this rule.
